This qualification is made up of compulsory Knowledge, Practical Skill and Work Experience Modules:

• 10 Knowledge Modules: 75 Credits
• 8 Practical Modules: 70 Credits
• 8 Workplace Experience Modules: 95 Credits

Duration: 24 Months to 30 Months part-time including Formal Workplace Learning Experience.

Entry Requirements
1. Certified copy of ID / Passport
2. Certified copy of Grade 12 or any completed NQF Level 4 certificate with Mathematics. All  RPL applicants and applicants with Grade 12 “Maths Literacy” will first need to pass a standalone Maths module to be eligible for the admission.

Recognition of Prior Learning (to register/access to the qualification)
As per SAQA policy on RPL, we allow learners to register/access to the qualification through recognition of prior learning (RPL), who do not meet the minimum entry requirements:

1. Certified copy of ID / Passport
2. 3 Years of Experience in Software Development and a formal letter from the employer confirming the relevant required experience in Software Development.

4. Signed PoPI agreement
5. Online completed RPL application
6. Proof of payment for RPL Fee: R 1,500 + R300 first time application fee.
